Gravel & Stone
1" White Stone
White stone is washed limestone at about 1 inch, bright enough to lift dark corners and sharp enough to hold an edge. It is the highest-contrast rock we carry and reads clean and modern against dark mulch, black edging, or gray masonry.
What it is used for
- Bright accent beds and modern landscapes
- Shady side yards that need visual light
- Borders along dark stone or brick
- Contrast panels in commercial landscaping
Depth & coverage
Recommended depth
2 to 3 inches over landscape fabric.
Coverage
One cubic yard covers about 160 square feet at 2 inches deep.
Installation tips
- 1White shows dirt. Site it away from bare soil runoff and rinse it seasonally.
- 2Fabric underneath is essential — clay staining is what ruins white rock.
- 3Limestone raises soil pH slightly. Keep it out of beds with acid-loving plants.
